No 6 OBJECT - MAKE YOUR VOICE HEARD!

 

The deadline to object is 17th April 2025. The North Yorkshire Council Planning Portal is not working at the moment - so please email or write. The email address is planning.control@northyorks.gov.uk , Quote application reference NY/2025/0030/ENV. You must include your name and address.  Click here to see the leaflet which has been delivered to the villages. It explains in more detail how to object and why.

So far there are 603 public responses up to 20th March 2025 ( only a handful of people in favour of the scheme). Add your voice! It really counts, Every person in your household can object including children, and if you think of something else you can send another objection. You can see the planning application here and to see objections click on the documents tab and look for PUBLIC REPRESENTATIONS.

 

UPDATE:

 

A full public meeting was held at the Rugby Club and around 200 people attended. We updated people on how to object (including the online portal issues), and shared information about the application and on upcoming events. It was a really well supported meeting from the community

We held a march and rally in Burniston in conjunction with Frack Free Scarborough on 22nd March and this was a massive success. It was reported on Look North, online in the newspapers. Here are a few of our own pictures.
