NATIONAL PETITION

 

Alison Hume asked could we start a Parliamentary Petition to stop all fracking including proppant squeeze (small scale fracking). We are in the process of setting that up.

1. At 10,000 signatures your petition on the UK Government and Parliament site gets a response from the government.

2. At 100,000 signatures your petition on the UK Government and Parliament site will be considered for a debate in Parliament.

Please keep your eyes peeled - we will have the petition out soon. We aim to get over 100,000!!

SHOCKING FOOTAGE OF IMPACT OF PROPOSED DRILLING RIG

 

The steering group decided to carry out an experiment to see what the effect of having a 38m drilling rig on the Europa site in Burniston would be They launched a drone 38m high with lights on. It showed shocking footage - anywhere the drone can see can also see the drill rig. You will be shocked to see the results. This is the footage from the drone https://youtu.be/3_IvA6IpBIg. NORTH YORKHIRE MOORS NATIONAL PARK

 

The NYMNP planning committee met and did not oppose the fracking application. They did ask for more clarification. Just to clear up any confusion. North Yorkshire Council will decide the outcome of the application - not NYMNP.
